Media Release: intermittent road closures and traffic diversions on Jalan Johan Setia, Klang (near the traffic light junction, both-bounds) to facilitate LRT3 project-related works from 10 February 2022 to 31 May 2022

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 7 February 2022: Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd (formerly known as MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK)), the contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be intermittent road closures and traffic diversions on Jalan Johan Setia, Klang (near the traffic light junction, both-bounds) to facilitate LRT3 project-related works from 10 February 2022 to 31 May 2022, 24 hours daily.

The closures consist of three (3) stages as detailed below:

Stage 1: The leftmost lane of Jalan Johan Setia (Jalan Langat-bound) will be closed. During the closure, motorists from Jalan Kebun will be diverted via contra-flow traffic with one (1) lane made available to motorists on both bounds.

Stage 2: The leftmost lane of Jalan Johan Setia (Jalan Kebun-bound) will be closed. During the closure, motorists from Jalan Langat will be diverted via contra-flow traffic with one (1) lane made available to motorists on both bounds.

Stage 3: The rightmost lane of Jalan Johan Setia (Jalan Kebun and Jalan Langat-bound) will be closed. During the closure, motorists will be diverted to the remaining lane with one (1) lane made available to motorists on both bounds.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from IPD Klang Selatan (PDRM), Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 4 period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.
