SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 22 April 2021: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be a road closure and traffic diversion on Jalan Langat, Klang (from after the Jalan Johan Setia traffic light junction to before the Bandar Parklands traffic light junction, Banting-bound) to facilitate ‘U-trough’ launching and LRT3 project-related works from 24 April 2021 to 16 May 2021, Monday to Sunday, 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

During the closure, motorists will be diverted as indicated below:

  • Motorists from Klang/KESAS heading towards Banting will be diverted to the opposite side of Jalan Langat (Klang-bound) via contra-flow traffic before heading back to Jalan Langat (Banting-bound).
  • Two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists from Banting heading towards Klang/KESAS near the contra-flow.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the public.
