Prasarana Organises A Public Inspection Of Its Latest Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) Project
Kuala Lumpur, 12 May 2015 – The proposed alignment and details on Prasarana’s latest project, the LRT3 is now made available to the public for viewing. The Public Inspection sessions are being held at seven (7) selected locations for a three month period beginning from 15 May 2015 until 14 August 2015. The Public Inspection will showcase the proposed 36km alignment of LRT3 as well as 25 stations running along the route, land acquisition plans, details of the project and features of the proposed stations. The LRT3 aims to connect Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Klang.
The development of the LRT3 is in line with the Urban Rail Development Plan (URDP), under the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), to provide reliable, efficient, integrated, and sustainable land public transportation system, and to enhance socio-economic development and quality of life of communities in the Klang Valley.
The seven Public Inspection locations include the Office of SPAD, relevant Local Councils as well as selected LRT Stations are as follows:

The proposed LRT3 project will connect the Western Corridor of the Klang Valley to the KL city centre and will be integrated with the existing and future public transport networks at four (4) stations including One Utama with (MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line), Station 3 with Kelana Jaya Line, SIRIM with BRT Kuala Lumpur – Klang and Klang Town with KTM Komuter.
The construction of the LRT3 is targeted to commence in 2016, after obtaining all necessary approvals by the authorities. The project is expected to be completed by 2020 and will serve over 2.0 million population along the alignment by year 2025.
